Keynote - Utah Relocation Summit - Backstage Pass - Pete Lorimer Vlog

I recently spoke at a conference in Park City about a very specific niche: RELOCATION.

When executives are asked to be relocated, relocation services (like Influence Relocation), step in and help find real estate agents to get the job done. It’s a unique direction that takes discipline.

So, everyone at that conference has picked a lane and is running hard--and that's where the magic happens. You gotta know your niche.

Like with my crowd, I appeal to the people I appeal to and I don’t stop, I post relentlessly. I create content for my sphere, constantly working to add value and then--I prospect, thats the magic formula.

Thanks for being part of the rebellion and for being here ❤️ Pete.

Speaking at Gary Vee's Agent 2021 / Pete Lorimer Vlog

I recently attended and spoke at Gary Vee's Agent2021 conference in Miami. Now, I try to make it to several conferences a year--and this one was different. And I'm not just saying that because I sat on the stage.

After waking up at 2 am (😴) and making my way to Miami, I was full of adrenaline and excitement. The conference took place at the Dolphin Stadium in Miami-- where Gary, his business partner Matt Higgins (you may recognize him from Shark Tank), myself and some amazing professionals in this industry during the day took the stage.

The whole deal was about personal branding, real estate, and social media. I got the chance to chat with some fellow real estate pros and give them my two cents. I made copious notes and have been and will continue to share them with you all.

Friends, taking time out of your crazy schedule to make it to some conferences like this is HUGE. You HAVE to invest in yourself and your professional development if you want to take this seriously.

Thanks for being part of the rebellion and for being here ❤️ Pete

#ThrowbackTuesday - Leave The Footprints, Don't Follow Them

MEDIA & MARKETING PANEL C.A.R. 2016

I was invited to speak at the California Association of Realtors Conference in Long Beach, on the Media and Marketing Panel.   As always I will gladly jump on stage to spout about things I'm passionate about and was honored to do so.

One of the main things I spoke about was what I think the secret to being successful in this business is… One word – YOUTUBE.  Lead, don’t follow and find your own information.

It's funny stepping out of my bubble to see what the rest of my industry is doing and it's always kinda wild to compare what I'm doing.  It seems that real estate, for the most part, is stuck in the dark ages... but I attempted to shine a light on at least my contribution to the industry in this episode of the Vlog...

Leave the footprints, don’t follow them.

Thanks for being part of the rebellion

Authentic & Genuine Conversations - Vlog - Backstage Pass

Authentic & Genuine Conversations - Vlog - Backstage Pass

Business for so long has been predicated on selling, but times have changed.  It’s not just about the houses anymore.  It’s about you!  I’m a big believer that the key to being successful in this business is achieved by having genuine conversations with like-minded people.  The amazing byproduct of these sincere conversations is trust.  AND when people trust you they want to work with you.

In this video, which was shot last year, this was the first time I spoke at the famed Skirball Center in Bel Air which after this performance has become a regular speaking gig for me. This pitch focuses on the strategy of "Not Giving a F@#K" about opinions and chatter and keeping our heads firmly in the game of being authentic and genuine. I want to thank the Master himself Mr. Steve Shull for having me speak at Skirball this time and many afterward.

I also want to thank you all for watching and for me the secret of "making a connection" is to Stir emotions with authenticity.

Thanks for being part of the rebellion...

Man vs Machine - Big Data & Where It's Going in Real Estate - Monday Mantra Motivational

Man vs Machine - Big Data & Where It's Going in Real Estate - Monday Mantra Motivational

Big Data is pervasive in all industries, I have always been someone who embraces change, so I’m a fan of the recent surge of data driven applications, but there is a dark side and it’s important to not get lost in it…

So, let’s get to it.  Information about real estate is now available to ALL people.  There is a tidal wave of it (Remine, Property Radar, Inman, etc).  People can find it ALL on their own.  So, where does that leave us?  Will we (Man) be obsolete in real estate?  The answer is, YES, BUT it will ONLY replace us if we sit back and let it.  If we look at Big Data as a tool that can help us provide extra service to our clients, it will only help us.

When everyone runs in one direction, I tend to run in the other.  You need to embrace the change with the machine that is Big Data and spin it to your advantage.  Old school is the New School.  The most important thing you can do is form genuine relationships and keep them.  What it comes down to is, PEOPLE CARE ABOUT PEOPLE and will always choose them over a machine.  Be that person your client wants.

Pete Lorimer PODCAST - Full Keynote - How to Become a Rockstar Realtor - Michigan WCR Conference

Full Keynote - How to Become a Rockstar Realtor - Michigan WCR Conference - Real Estate Digital Strategies & Social Media Marketing

So the podcast this week I travel to Detroit to deliver a keynote to a very posh luncheon crowd with the subject matter being "How to be a Rockstar Agent" which I hasten to add a title I did not make up but am very flattered by. Unlike the vlog this is the ENTIRE KEYNOTE, so grab a cup of coffee and pull up a chair as its a long one (but well worth it).

I drop all the tips & techniques I have used over the years to help me have a successful real estate career and booming brokerage in the saturated and uber-competitive Los Angeles market.

The talk was about shattering some of the traditional methods of real estate and embracing the new. Peeling back the old-fashioned veneer of "Client & Customer" and following the new school of running to your tribe.

For too long, fear of upsetting people has paralyzed our industry ergo making it an ocean of vanilla. When I was a new agent I make a point of smashing any barriers between agent and client to dust. It was one of the best things I ever did professionally, and it has paid me back in spades.

Thanks so much for watching and for being part of the rebellion.

#THROWBACKTUESDAY Video Is The Future – LA Real Estate Tech Conference

#THROWBACKTUESDAY - Video Is The Future – LA Real Estate Tech Conference

This was a superb event where I got to explain my ideas on the future of the industry.  I’ve been banging my drum about this the last couple years so it was wonderful to spread the word…

Storytelling through video is the future.  The future is video.  “In 2019 it is said that 85% of traffic on the internet will be video.”  That’s just nuts.  I knew in my gut this is where the world was headed years ago and I went full speed ahead in that direction.   If you want to take risks, tell a story with video and find your tribe to aim it at.

Thanks so much for watching and for being part of the rebellion.  PL

Media & Motivation Clinic Part II #tbt

Back by popular request is my media & motivation clinic part II that I shot last year.

Where ever I go on my travels people seem to mention it and even last week while I was in Michigan it was mentioned yet again. so for this throwback Tuesday may I present my media and motivation clinic originally recorded in Beverly Hills at the PLG Estates headquarters.

During the clinic, I get down and dirty on some of the most successful techniques I have used to help me carve out a rather juicy slice of the Los Angeles real estate market. I will go over many strategies in social media and have my usual anti vanilla rant plus I talk about storytelling and how to become your own mini filmmaker.

So much of commerce these days is not in the “sell” of it all, quite the contrary, there is now and has been for while a much more inert/organic approach to creating a relationship prior to selling that in my opinion needs to take place way before any transaction. Longevity, for me, is far more interesting than the quick buck. So, when we put in so much effort to try and catch someone’s attention why would we blow it with a “quick buck, fast sell” mentality. That seems very shortsighted to me.

Once we have their attention that’s where the long game begins. We nuture, advise, Council and everything in between as once we have their trust we will always have their business.

Thanks for watching and for being part of the rebellion......
