BACKSTAGE PASS - Netflix Manic NYC Press Tour

I’m delighted to give you this inside scoop into my first ever press junket for ‘STAY HERE’ on NETFLIX, which was in none other than my favorite (east coast) city, New York!

I wore my sharpest suit and lucky reds (fav red sneakers for those of you who don’t know).  First stop, Build Brunch on AOL!  The gang was amazing.  We shared the ins and outs of ‘Stay Here’ and took some rather fun and festive group shots.

Next stop, I braved the brisk weather and got to catch up with a guest we had on the NYC episode of the show, Gordy Jackson.  It was great seeing him and also great getting the excellent news of how incredible his property is doing on Airbnb.  It truly warmed my heart to know that some of my guidance and expertise truly helped someone.  I only hope that I can be of service to more and more folks out there down the line.

Then on to Yahoo Finance!  Kennedy couldn’t have been nicer or more interested in what I had to say, which was such a surreal feeling I must say.  I thought the lot of the interviews went smashingly and I hope you all agree.

On my way back home, I thought there was no better way to top off the whirlwind of a trip than to stop in Times Square!  I couldn’t have been happier to visit the always-bustling city and have the opportunity to talk about ‘Stay Here.’   Thank you New York!

Thanks for all of the support and for watching

BRAND NEW – BACKSTAGE PASS – How To Rave At 7AM In San Francisco

On my last morning in San Francisco, for the Inman Real Estate Conference, I decided to really go out with a bang… My mate Jessie Beaudoin coaxed me into going to a Daybreaker Morning Rave on a boat. This one wasn’t like the old ones though, as they swapped out drugs and drink for yogurt and yoga!

I honestly had no idea what I was getting myself into, but ended up getting the full monty. Unbelievable things occurred on the water that morning. While there, I got to rub elbows with some of the most super lively and fun partygoers I’ve ever seen.

Truth be told, I hadn’t experienced such energy, atmosphere, and an overall amazing vibe since I was in Ibiza. It goes down as one of the most unexpected and incredible experiences I’ve had so far.

I was sad to go, but kept the glow of that glorious rave with me when I headed back to reality.

BACKSTAGE PASS – ‘Stay Here’ Netflix Screening Party

This Backstage Pass marks a huge milestone for me.  It’s not that often I get to say this kind of thing, but it was my Netflix premiere party for my new show ‘Stay Here’.  What a crazy mouthful of words!

My plan was to get everyone nicely tipsy and then screen a couple of episodes so of course they would then love it, and that is exactly what I did!

But in all seriousness, it was so heartwarming to see friends, colleagues and family;  people I’ve just met and people I’ve known for 25 years all come together to share in a huge night in my life.

It was an evening full of entertainment, drinks, food and most importantly friends.

I think it was a massively successful night and I want to give a shout out to everyone that was there to support me as well as all of you that have been watching.  I don’t think it could have went any better and the response was phenomenal.

If you want to check out what we viewed at the party you can watch ‘Stay Here’ NOW on Netflix!

'BEHIND THE TV SHOW' Hudson, N.Y. Part III.

If you haven’t heard yet, I just had my new show ‘STAY HERE’ premiere on NETFLIX, and I couldn’t be more ecstatic about it!

On this stop during my travels for the show, I was lucky enough to meet some super interesting mates in Hudson, NY.  One of my favorite such characters was a fellow called Deforrest.  I seemed to run into him and his pipe everywhere I went!

Be sure to check out ‘Stay Here’ on Netflix out now!

'BEHIND THE TV SHOW' Hudson, NY Part II.

On another adventure, while filming for my new show on NETFLIX, ‘STAY HERE,’ I got to ogle at the famed Hudson River and take in the spectacular view of the water.

It turns out that the mountain range behind me (the name of which escapes me) has a hidden recording studio on it, called The Lair, which belonged to one of my favorite musicians, Mr. David Bowie.  May he rest in peace.

With that view, he certainly had it right with his choice of locations to hide out in and create.

Stay tuned for more bits of my travels and tune into Netflix to watch ‘Stay Here’ now!

Thanks for watching

My new show on NETFLIX, ‘STAY HERE,' just premiered! With the excitement oozing out of me, I thought it would be a fantastic time to share some more of the footage (I shot) in the various places I was lucky enough to visit while filming.

Hudson NY was a place I had never been, and it was quite an experience.  I was able to take it the picturesque views of the Hudson River and enjoy the well-preserved architecture in the midst of the crisp Upstate NY weather.

It was one of many highlights on the journey that was filming a TV show that I won't soon forget!

On this clip from my travels on the road, filming ‘STAY HERE’ on NETFLIX, I am the ultimate tourist and have my childhood dreams become a reality while visiting The Capitol Building.

It was such an extraordinary piece of architecture and history, it just doesn’t get much better than that!

Thanks for watching and tune into to watch ‘Stay Here’ available now on Netflix!

'BEHIND THE TV SHOW' Washington, D.C. Part II.

My new show on NETFLIX, ‘STAY HERE,' just recently premiered and I still couldn't be more excited!  While roaming around the country filming for the show, I got to explore on my own and took some footage.

One thing I noticed about Washington is it's flush with parks, and it definitely reminded me of London.  The buildings and climate in winter are similar I felt like I could have been strolling past Buckingham Palace.  The only difference is they drive on the right side of the road!

Join me in Washington on my new show ‘Stay Here' available on Netflix now!

Here is a clip from my journey throughout Washington while filming for my new show on NETFLIX, ‘STAY HERE,' that just premiered!

I’d never been to DC and as you can see I was beyond tickled to start crossing things off my bucket list.  I have to say that this stop was particularly meaningful to me being a boy from London and having had the images of Washington burned into my mind from such a young age.

First stop was The Washington Monument.  Let’s just say that it did not disappoint.

Tune in to Netflix to see me in my new show ‘Stay Here.’

'BEHIND THE TV SHOW' New York Part IV.

I loved this entire day of sightseeing on my downtime from filming ‘STAY HERE’ on NETFLIX!

It’s not completely clear, but if you look really closely you can see The Statue of Liberty in all of her glory.  Again, the snow proved to be quite poetic.  Everyone has a pic of her in the sun, but not many in the snow.

It was a glorious sight to see after living in the US for almost 25 years.

This clip from my adventures of filming ‘STAY HERE’ for NETFLIX marks my short but eventful journey from Brooklyn to Manhattan.  I picked a freezing day to do it, but that made it all the more fun.   There was something freeing about being on a ferry in the dead of winter in the snow!

Along the way, I also got to chat with the most-friendly New Yorker.  I have to say though, that I still have yet to meet an unfriendly one!

Watch me in ‘Stay Here’ on Netflix now.

'BEHIND THE TV SHOW' - New York Part II.

This was one of my favorite stops along the way while filming ‘STAY HERE’ for NETFLIX.   The snow was coming down as I walked up to that super famous spot with the Brooklyn Bridge perfectly framed behind me.

There was something exceptionally special about being in that exact place I had seen in the movies so many times before with the snow poetically falling.  The view was better than I had envisioned.

‘BEHIND THE TV SHOW’ - New York Part I

On this magical leg of my journey, while filming ‘STAY HERE’ for NETFLIX, which just premiered, I got to visit Brooklyn, NY.  And while there I managed to make it to the LORIMER subway stop in Greenpoint.

I have yet to meet another Lorimer, and so I’m pretty sure I must be related to whomever the street was named after.  It was a glorious experience seeing my name on display for the first time!

You can see my name in bold again in ‘Stay Here’ on NETFLIX now!

BRAND NEW #VLOG - Backstage Pass – Venice Fight Club Featuring John Campbell-Mac

BRAND NEW #VLOG - Backstage Pass – Venice Fight Club Featuring John Campbell-Mac

In this brand spanking new Vlog, I go to Venice beach to meet one of my favorite people on this planet, Johnny, aka JC.  He’s one of our agents at PLG AND was also, once upon a time, a professional boxer.

I'm still not exactly sure how, but somehow, I agreed to go and let him put me through a boxing boot camp on the beaches of Venice.  I suppose I figured he could help me keep off the "dad weight."

Besides being a favorite, JC also happens to be one of the most colorful characters I’ve met… and I’ve met a lot along the way!

Watch us do a bit of sparring while talking about sketchy (‘Fight Club’-like) boxing matches, his journey from England, his experiences as an actor (he's been in 40+ movies) and us do an homage to ‘Rocky’ (the greatest boxing movie of all time).

#ThrowbackTuesday - Rely On Yourself

Here’s a great reminder of the importance of something key that I often preach – Grab the bull by the nuts and makes some noise.  Don’t just rely on the brand, rely on yourself.

The fracture between big box and boutique is getting bigger and bigger, and I genuinely believe boutique is going to be taking over more and more business.  Make your mark and stand out!

#ThrowbackTuesday - I'm At Home At PLG

I love this clip of me talking to two of the most fun agents around, Ania & Jesse, in Venice.  I got to pick their brains and find out why they were drawn to PLG.

The energy, interactions with people and creative collaborations is what attracted them and ultimately made them feel home.

#Vlog - Backstage Pass - Featuring Visual Artist Griffin Loop

Real Estate For Creatives

Not Just Brick and Mortar, we are now Click And Mortar

This episode is a jam-packed day in the life of Pete Lorimer.  Firstly, I meet up with a sculpture friend who is looking to get into the market, Griffin Loop, and then head to our newly implemented PLG Playa Vista office.  On the way I get a call from Forbes and get asked to give some expertise advice about Real Estate!

The artist Griffin Loop is one of the premiere visual artists on the west coast and we’ve been mates for a long while now.  I’m thrilled to expose you to his studio and work.  ‘Venice International Airport’ is what he calls the space.  It’s a take on his work with the airplane theme, “launch Intention”, and also an uplifting mantra of his to launch your dreams into the world.  He’s a super cool dude, newly engaged and you should probably go and try to get some of his art now, as he is on the up and up!

Next, I head to my PLG office at WeWork in Playa Vista.  This is something I’m pretty excited to share, as I just think it makes so much sense in the shared economy of today.  Instead of “Brick and Mortar” PLG Estates is embracing “Click and Mortar” which is plays perfectly into the PLG ethos of being the most progressive real estate form in LA .

#VLOG - Ultimate Movie Camera Under $50 - Cinematic iPhone

Backstage Pass

Here’s a look into my first time speaking at Skirball Center in a while.  It was so great to be back at this fab gathering of real estate folks and seeing my bud Steve Shull.

I really get into the thick of it with this one, so let’s get to it.

80% of my business is pulled from social media and the way I grab people is by having original content to do with work...  And the way I do that is by creating video!

Filmic Pro is software for $15.00 that you can use on your iPhone.  Now there are no excuses to not be able to shoot content.  You don’t need a ton of expensive gear or to be an equipment expert anymore.  Even Stephen Soderbergh used his phone to shoot his last movie and says he will continue to use it!

To up your business here are some tips:

- Get Filmic Pro on your phone and shoot videos

- Track the social data

- Step up your production technique

Put out polished, interesting short videos.  Get more clicks and more likes and more business.

#Vlog - The 53 Million Dollar Listing

Backstage Pass

I couldn’t be more excited about this episode where me and Mike Herbert (fellow PLG agent) head up to Montecito CA, to take a listing on the famous ‘Tea Gardens’.  It’s located in a super exclusive area where Oprah, Ellen DeGeneres and other super celebs live.  We had the privilege of visiting this one-of-a-kind 350-ACRE property, which is just unheard of today.  It’s enormous, the epitome of private and magical.

It also has an amazing history; built in 1914 and it’s located next door to the former estate of Gene Hackman.  The owners used to have tea at the top of the property under massive arches (which is how it got it’s name) and would watch water ballet in an amphitheater set lower on the land.  I can go on record saying that this is truly the ultimate gem of a property.  I’ve never seen anything like it, I’m not sure if I’ll ever see anything like it again and I may have even frothed at the mouth while taking the tour.

This was an incredible day filled with breathtaking views, great company, surf watching AND ended with a text…  As we were heading home we found out that we got the listing for a little over 53 million!  What a huge feat for PLG.  It was a perfect way to finish a perfect Friday!

Backstage Pass Classic - My First Time At Coachella

COACHELLA - Backstage Pass Classic – 2017

In honor of Coachella being upon us this weekend I thought it would be a great time to rehash my trip there!

It was shameful coming from the music business, living in LA for two decades, and never attending the festival, so last year I decided it was time.  I brought along my good mate John and we sure had a whole gang load of fun.

We got the VIP treatment, went backstage, ran into friends, soaked in the sights and sounds of the peculiar and spectacular event, got some amazing footage of the shows, felt like we were in a womb at times, got hugged by strangers, danced, sweat and loved every single second of it.

Everyone was so polite and full of energy and somehow we made it out alive.

Cheers

Pete
